Memoirs of a Geisha
Tapestry Pendant
    Create a stunning framed tapestry design with flowing
    pattern stamps. You'll learn to transfer images to
    polymer clay and shade colors to create a framed or
    wearable work of art. A romantic geisha is our illustrated
    theme, but additional choices will be available.
    (3-4 hours)

    FEE: $55 includes transfers and embellishments.

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Black, pearl and one other
    color of clay, misting bottle, polymer clay blade, acrylic
    roller, work surface and pasta machine.
Secret Keeper
Matchbox Pendant
    Everybody loves these little boxes! Learn a
    variety of transfer techniques that beautifully adorn
    this pendant. Each pendant will be strung and
    embellished with genuine antique Spirit Locks from
    Thailand. The secret inside is up to you! (3-4 hours)

    FEE: $65 includes matchboxes, transfers, cords,
    and spirit locks.

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Black, white and ecru clay,
    roller, stiff brush, soft rag, misting bottle, polymer clay
    blade, acrylic roller, work surface and pasta machine.
    Create a gilded cameo bead surrounded by layers
    of dimensional golden lace. The stunning effect in
    polymer clay is intriguingly dimensional and
    glowing with translucency. Select your favorite cameo
    portrait from a variety of angelic faces.
    This workshop will explore relief molds and image
    transfers as well as present design instruction on form
    and framing. Finished project will be a focal bead.
    (3-4 hours)

    FEE: $75 plus materials
    Image sheets for transfers will be included

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Pearl clay, translucent
    clay, translucent liquid clay, gold leaf (composite
    or real), 4 oz scrap clay for molding, polymer clay blade,
    acrylic roller, work surface and pasta machine.
Golden Lace Cameo
Transfer
Faux Bone Bracelet
    This exotic thick and chunky faux bone bracelet is
    embossed with elegant tribal or ethnic design. The
    highlight is a transferred focal image and authentic coin
    closure. Complete the effect with a smooth polished
    finish that enhances the design. This class teaches how
    to mix a classic bone color, or simulate stone effects in
    polymer clay. Students will learn to structure a bracelet
    with circular form and hidden channels for stringing.
    (5 hours)

    FEE: $75 includes findings & cords.

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Students should bring 1 block
    ecru and one block white, polymer clay blade, work
    surface, pasta machine stiff brush for applying paint,
    soft rag, misting bottle, 400 & 600 grit wet sanding
    paper and a small shallow dish for water.
POLYMER CLAY & CANES
Face Canes
    Faces – the most challenging cane of all! It is an
    investment you will have for years to come. This class
    helps to explain shape, proportion, and coloring
    necessary to create a life-like image with personality.
    This is an advanced workshop. (6-8 hours)

    FEE: $95

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Students need 1 lb. translucent
    Premo or Kato clay, black white, sienna and eye color
    clay, polymer clay blades, roller, work surface and pasta
    machine.

    By popular demand! Canes are the most intriguing
    accomplishment in polymer clay. Learn this skill from an
    expert and make enough cane to use for years to come.
    Students will create a simple floral or leaf cane and
    choose from a variety of teacher’s samples to complete
    a pendant. (3-4 hours)

    FEE: $55  

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Students need to bring  black,
    white, and pearl clay, stiff and flexible blades, acrylic
    roller, work surface, pasta machine and storage for made
    canes.
Creative Canes
Big Tube Tassel
    This bold design is sure to brighten your day. Use
    pre-made canes and slices to create your colorful
    fantasy. Barbara will demonstrate the color shading
    and manipulation of the designs to create balance
    and intrigue in your final work.

    FEE: $65
    Includes all materials (clay, canes & fibers)

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENTS: Students need to bring stiff and
    flexible blades, acrylic roller, work surface and pasta
    machine.
POLYMER CLAY & MOKUME GANE
Mokume with Gold Leaf
    Layers of tinted translucent clay and 22 kt gold create
    this sophisticated faux glass effect. Graphic lines and
    patterns are created with stamps and a variety of
    impressed 'tools'.  To complete the project we'll
    transform this exquisite surface design into a pendant
    for you to enjoy in style. (3-4 hours)

    FEE: $65 plus materials
    Instuctor will supply gold leaf & inks

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Students need to bring
    pearl, translucent, black and white clay, 400 & 600 grit
    wet sandpaper, small shallow dish for water, polymer
    clay blades, work surface and pasta machine
Patchwork Pendants
    Learn an easy method to obtain fabulous results in
    polymer clay Mokume Gane. This Asian technique builds
    up layers of color that are distorted with stamps to
    create unusual design patterns in jewelry. The class
    emphasizes color positioning and use of graphic design
    patterns. (4-5 hours)

    FEE: $65
    Cords shown are optional purchase.

    SUPPLIED BY STUDENT: Students should bring pearl,
    black, white and two other pearl or mica clay colors,
    polymer clay blade, 400 & 600 grit wet sanding paper,
    small shallow dish for water, work surface and pasta
    machine.
